The outcomes worth measuring.

01Retention

Make the next visit worth returning for.

Evaluate menu accuracy, checkout friction and relevant follow-ups together. Measure return visits under a defined comparison; these illustrations are intended outcomes, not customer case results.

Two friends in clean streetwear walk out of a dispensary carrying a green Your Dispensary bag. Five stars: Quick and easy. Such positive vibes.

02Basket

Make recommendations useful.

Use verified product information, current stock and the customer’s stated preferences. Review basket value alongside margins and customer experience instead of assuming every recommendation increases spend.

A customer chooses a green recommended product in addition to the original items on the counter. Good call. I’ll take that too.

03Labor

Give routine work a reviewable plan.

POS agents are in production in California. The intended workflow prepares routine tasks for approval; measure staff time and corrections once a supported workflow is deployed before claiming labor savings.

A relaxed manager in a green Your Dispensary shirt takes a break beside a closed laptop. I finally have a minute to breathe.

04Team

Review the payment experience.

Confirm permitted tenders, provider terms, fees, tipping and refund behavior for your deployment. The illustration does not establish live PIN debit, cashless ATM or higher tip income.

A young professional budtender smiles as a customer selects a green 20 percent tip in an otherwise black-and-white dispensary scene. You were awesome. Thank you.

05Purchasing

Make the buying decision explainable.

Production POS AI purchasing agents prepare proposals from verified stock, sales and vendor context. Review the evidence and approve commitments; a proposed order is not a completed purchase or a negotiated saving.

A manager reviews a wholesale order as a vendor presents a plain forest-green carton in an otherwise black-and-white scene. We got better pricing on this order.

Questions worth asking

Know what is ready.

Blackleaf separates what is available today from what is planned. During limited rollout, every store gets a clear, confirmed scope before launch.

What is a dispensary point-of-sale system?

A dispensary point-of-sale system handles the sale and the records behind it, including products, stock, customers, taxes and payments. Cannabis retail also needs jurisdiction-specific workflows for age checks, purchase limits, package tracking and required reporting. Confirm the exact operations and rules supported for your licensed store.

What is Blackleaf Dispensary POS?

What do AI agents do in Blackleaf Dispensary POS?

Production POS AI agents prepare purchase orders, assortment reviews, SKU retirement plans, offers, market research, pricing recommendations and content drafts. Plans include their reasoning and the approval needed to proceed. Confirm supported actions and access for your California store.

Link to this answer ↗
Will AI change prices, place orders, or contact customers without approval?

The approval model gives each store control over authority. Agents prepare the work against store-defined budgets, margins, audiences, and permissions. Purchases, price changes, outreach, and publishing require the appropriate approval before execution. Supported automation rules and approval controls must be confirmed for the deployment; a draft is not an executed action.

Can I sign up for Blackleaf Dispensary POS today?

There is no public self-service signup. Blackleaf Dispensary POS is taking on dispensaries one at a time through a limited rollout. Contact the team to discuss your location, current system, requirements, and timing. Interest does not automatically establish a go-live date.

Link to this answer ↗
How much does Blackleaf Dispensary POS cost?

Published single-location package prices are $49 per month for Starter, $499 for Software, from $799 for Complete and from $1,499 for Managed+, in USD per licensed location. Starter does not include live checkout. Confirm availability and a written rollout quote covering the supported workflows, equipment, setup, training, service and contract terms. Messaging usage, payment processing, hardware upgrades, taxes and third-party charges are separate. Production POS AI tools and developer access are scoped in your package and onboarding.

Link to this answer ↗
What equipment is included in the Complete package?

The production standard Complete package supports two registers, one check-in, two managers, and one customer-facing display. It includes four Windows Surface tablets; five Zebra DS9208 scanners; two Star TSP143IIIBI receipt printers; two back-office computers; a cash counter; a Dymo LabelWriter 450; a Zebra GK420d; a multifunction scanner and printer; a product display-card printer; and two Sonos speakers. Final supported models, compatibility, installation needs, upgrades, and substitutions are confirmed for your store.

Link to this answer ↗
Do I have to switch POS systems to use Blackleaf texting?

No. Blackleaf’s dispensary messaging platform is available separately and can work alongside an existing POS, subject to the integration and data access available for that system. Adopting Blackleaf Dispensary POS is a separate store-operations decision.

Link to this answer ↗
Does Blackleaf Dispensary POS integrate with Metrc?

Blackleaf has production Metrc approval and a working POS. Confirm the jurisdiction, licensed facility, supported operations and reporting readiness for the intended deployment. Approval does not establish all-state coverage, support for every operation or a guarantee of regulatory compliance. The public preview uses sample data and does not itself demonstrate live reporting.

Link to this answer ↗
Which payment methods are supported?

Payment methods and providers are confirmed during store onboarding. Production POS in California does not imply every card, cashless ATM, ACH or offline payment service is supported. Review permitted tender types, provider terms, fees and refund behavior for your setup.
