Blackleaf POS Is in Production in California

Blackleaf POS is in production in California. POS AI agents and offline recovery are also production capabilities in California. More states are coming.

This availability update reflects the position as of November 5, 2026. Confirm the supported setup and onboarding plan for your licensed store before scheduling a move. See the Blackleaf POS overview for the product and the California rollout guide for store-planning questions.

Confirm the rollout for your store

Start with your licensed location, current system and service channels. Review the equipment, required connections, data migration, staff training and support responsibilities together. Agree the supported scope and acceptance checks before committing to a cutover date.

California production availability is the current announced market. Blackleaf has not announced additional states or rollout dates in this update. Bring your location and timing to the team for an availability review.

Review AI and offline work in context

Walk through the supported POS AI-agent actions, the information they use and your store’s permissions and approval steps. A prepared recommendation and an approved action are different stages of the work. Use the POS AI overview to plan that discussion.

For offline recovery, review which permitted work continues, which connected services still require connectivity, and how records reconcile after recovery. Payment services and external reporting have their own requirements. The offline POS and outage guide provides a practical review checklist.

Keep Texting separate from a POS switch

Blackleaf dispensary Texting is available separately and works with supported existing POS systems. You do not have to adopt Blackleaf POS to use Texting.

If customer communication is the immediate priority, review the actual data connection, available fields, update timing and messaging requirements for the POS you already use. The POS-to-Texting guide helps keep that decision separate from replacing store operations.

Plan your next step

Bring your licensed location, current POS, service channels, station count, equipment, required connections and desired timing to a Blackleaf rollout review. Confirm the supported scope, open questions and people responsible for the transition. The POS FAQ covers common questions about availability, equipment, payments and onboarding.
